Colm, who has close links to the locality graduated from the University of Southampton with a Masters in Audiology in 2012 having been awarded a prestigious scholarship from the HSE. Following this he worked in HSE audiology services providing an extensive range of tests and hearing aids to both adults and children. Colm also spent two and a half years as Chief Audiologist in The Hermitage Clinic.

Prior to his career in audiology Colm worked in the medical technologies sector and has a degree in mechanical engineering from Trinity College and a masters in biomedical science from the University of Galway.

Colm is very well respected in the field of audiology across Ireland and is a director and council member of the Irish Society of Hearing Aid Audiologists and a member of the Irish Academy of Audiology. He regularly attends professional training and events.
